A brief personal history:
Lou was born in Germany. His mother was Croatian and his Father was Serbian. Because of WWII, they ended up in a displaced persons' camp in Munich, where Lou was born. The family immigrated to the USA when he was very small, thanks to help of a Red Cross sponsor family, and eventually settled down in Erie, Pennsylvania. His real name is Ljubomir Urošević which is why some people know him as Lou Urosevic, Lju Urosevic or Lju Savage.
His musical journey began there in Erie, then to Boston, then to Cleveland and finally to Los Angeles where he lives today.
He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music with a degree in Doublebass (often referred to as an upright bass). At the Cleveland Institute, Lou studied orchestral and opera repertoire with Larry Angell and Dave Perlman of the Cleveland Orchestra.
He's created music for companies like JVC, Kawai and Disney and has performed with acts ranging from Cab Calloway, Eartha Kitt, The Righteous Brothers and Percy Sledge, to comedians like Bob Hope and Jay Leno.
