MUSIC PRODUCTION

  • greg stephens

Native Californian Greg Stephens, admittedly, would rather equally divide his time between two things, surfing and songwriting, if his was a perfect world.

Stephens normally composes and performs his songs while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and occasional harmonica.

In this project, entitled Keep It Simple, the task was to enhance the songs with added instrumentation: drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitars and steel guitar.

The result, as expected, was an expansion of texture and acoustic color while retaining the innocence of the original acoustic performances.
