An Alabama man was shocked to find that he had spontaneously turned gay after watching six back-to-back episodes of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on the Bravo cable TV channel during a Queer Eye marathon. Retired Marine Captain, Buell LeRoy Lassater made a frantic 911 call on Sunday night after he realized that he had cut his blue jeans into a pair of hot pants and cinched the tails of his unbuttoned shirt into a knot around his midriff while he was in what he described as "a trance." "It seemed like a good idea at the time," he told reporters. According to the 911 operator, "The gentleman was very polite." Lassater claims that he had no recollection of exactly when he changed into a gay man. Medical personnel on the scene speculate that the transition was gradual, possibly occurring around the fourth episode. "It's kind of like when you're a teenager and your voice changes," said one neighbor. "One day you're talkin' like a kid, and before you know it you're talkin' like a guy. Neighbors describe Lassater as "kind of butch." His father told reporters that his son was "a God fearin' man. Not a drinker or a cusser, but a good spitter." Lassater
referred police to a security tape showing himself making the startling
metamorphosis. When asked why he had a security camera installed in
his living room monitoring himself, he replied, "Protection." email Lou 310-418-9561 cell web design by bhm © 2003 Lou Savage |
